a glimpse of history -- #PopeFrancisPH
Millions of Filipinos felt jubilant, not minding the long
hours under the rain, as they received blessings during the concluding mass led
by no other than Pope Francis. The historic event was held last January 18 at
the Rizal Park in Manila, Philippines.
Pope Francis was in the country last January 15-19, 2015 "to
confirm us in our faith as we face the challenges of witnessing to the Joy of
the Gospel in the midst of our trials". The theme of the Apostolic Visit to
the Philippines was “Mercy and Compassion”.
